Job Summary
Supply Chain Buyer/Planner responsible for planning and expediting required materials for production to satisfy customer delivery needs while optimizing production efficiencies and inventory investments; will purchase supplies/equipment, maintain SAP data, generate POs, monitor inventory and delivery issues, coordinate with production/quality teams, track demand and purchasing trends, and create daily production schedules for machines. Requires SAP/ERP proficiency, cross-functional collaboration, and strong communication/negotiation skills. Travel less than 5%.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ Years Material Planning Experience
- 2+ Years Inventory Management or Purchasing Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
- Supply chain management certification: APICS (CSCP, CPIM, SCOR-P) or ISM (CPSM) preferred
- Proven ability to build relationships and work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Advanced systems skills and working knowledge of SAP (or other major ERP system) and MS Office
- Must have excellent presentation and communication skills
- Self-starter approach to work with an eagerness to take responsibility and constantly exceed goals
- Must have demonstrated strong communication (verbal & written), negotiation, and leadership skills
- Experience in working with supply chain, strategic purchasing, manufacturing, engineering, quality assurance, sales, and financial personnel to achieve planned goals
- Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a valid passport
