Job Summary
Purchase materials to ensure sufficient supply meets production and customer requirements, monitoring availability and taking corrective action on shortages or delays. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to support on-time delivery, accurate quantities, and quality materials while resolving purchasing issues proactively. Track monthly key performance indicators including Purchase Price Variance, Days on Hand, and Inventory Value, and support physical inventory activities. Follow all company manufacturing, safety, and quality requirements while maintaining accurate purchasing information. Work within a collaborative manufacturing environment as part of CFS Brands, contributing to innovative product solutions across foodservice, healthcare, and commercial markets.
Required Qualifications
- 1–5 years of purchasing, buying, or production planning experience
- Manufacturing experience
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Supply Chain degree or CPIM certification
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to build positive working relationships with suppliers and internal teams
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently while following established processes and procedures
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
Desired Qualifications
- 1–5 years of purchasing, buying, or production planning experience preferred
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- Supply Chain degree or CPIM certification preferred
