Job Summary
Manage inbound flow of parts and materials while maintaining inventory levels to support customer and business needs. Coordinate and track inbound shipments from the UK and Japan, ensuring they are delivered efficiently and on schedule. Collaborate with production planning, internal teams, and freight carriers to maintain accurate logistics information in the ERP system and manage freight bills. Advise on HTS code classification, monitor tariff issues and customs documentation, and lead continuous improvement efforts to strengthen supply chain performance. Execute purchasing activities for motors and parts from Japan, analyze demand forecasts, and evaluate freight forwarders to identify cost savings opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ year related experience in logistics, purchasing and/or supply chain
- Knowledge of HTS Codes & Tariffs
- Experience in a purchasing role
- Experience working with Freight companies
- Knowledge of tariffs and international shipping
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Good interpersonal skills, and work well in team environment
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
