Job Summary
As a Supply Associate at CarMax, you’ll ensure technicians have the correct parts by managing inventory accuracy, processing incoming shipments, and maintaining efficient stocking levels while delivering strong internal and external customer service. Key duties include identifying and providing the correct parts, processing shipments into inventory, performing cycle counts, allocating parts using CarMax systems, returning incorrect or defective parts to vendors, and adhering to EH&S requirements in a clean, efficient workspace. The role requires attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, data-entry and spreadsheet skills, collaboration with associates and vendors, and the physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. This position supports CarMax’s goal of a best-in-class automotive experience and offers compensation in the listed hourly range with benefits for eligible full-time associates.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of Supply Associate Workstation Certifications
- Ability to read, interpret, and accurately record data
- Intermediate computer skills, including spreadsheet proficiency
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with associates and vendors
- Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods
- Effective verbal communication skills for customer and team interactions
