Job Summary
Supplier Sourcing Engineer for Anduril Intelligence & Space leads end-to-end supply chain development and cost management for product hardware across lifecycles. You will own sourcing, onboarding and development of suppliers, manage BOM, conduct supplier selection, drive on-time delivery, perform should-cost and clean-sheet analyses, develop statements of work for joint design development, simulate mechanical/electronics designs, consolidate manufacturing BOMs with Engineering/Quality/Manufacturing, manage total program cost and NPI/mass production costs, and perform value-stream mapping to optimize lead times and flexibility while ensuring component qualifications and risk assessments are completed ahead of production. Requires collaboration with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams, and a U.S. Secret/TS clearance with travel and relocation to Costa Mesa, CA.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other technical field
- 5+ years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement and development, or design of electronics and/or mechanical devices
- Domain expertise of value/procurement engineering or TCO-related work at the component & product level
- Active U.S. Secret or TS clearance and ability to maintain clearance
- Ability to travel 10% - 40% of the time, variable based on program needs
- Ability to relocate, if not already local to be onsite in Costa Mesa, CA
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree preferred
- Deeper experience within design & development of electronics and/or mechanical devices
- Experience negotiating and managing commercial subcontracts
- Early supplier engagement, ahead of product/engineering requirement realization
- Familiarity with developing high-tech products in a high-mix, low-volume environment
- Exposure to working in a fast-pace, start-up environment
- Direct experience in the Space industry
