Job Summary
Develop and maintain supplier replenishment schedules to support production plans and customer demand while monitoring delivery performance to identify risks. Coordinate daily with Manufacturing, Production Scheduling, Quality, Engineering, and Procurement to ensure timely material availability, expediting materials and adjusting priorities for shortages or disruptions. Track supplier performance metrics, communicate directly with suppliers to resolve issues, and participate in meetings to review challenges and identify cost reduction opportunities. Maintain appropriate inventory levels and support new product introductions by coordinating material readiness. Assist in make-versus-buy analysis and sourcing decisions, contributing to continuous improvement and VA/VE initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience in supplier scheduling, materials planning, production planning, or logistics
- Working knowledge of MRP / ERP systems and supplier scheduling processes
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and resolve material issues
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- APICS / ASCM certification (CPIM or similar)
- Experience with inventory forecasting and reducing schedule variance
- Exposure to Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement activities
