Job Summary
Lead supplier recovery and turnaround initiatives involving delivery, quality, capacity, or operational performance issues. Assess supplier operations to identify production constraints, bottlenecks, and program risks, then conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective action plans. Develop structured recovery plans with measurable milestones and collaborate with supplier leadership to improve manufacturing flow and delivery. Monitor performance metrics, establish early-warning indicators, and ensure activities align with AS9100 requirements. Serve as a primary liaison between suppliers and aerospace OEM or Tier 1 customer teams while providing regular updates and escalation reports. Travel frequently to domestic and international supplier locations to support onboarding, transitions, and alternate-source activities. Bachelor's degree required with 7 years of aerospace manufacturing experience; Master's preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
- Master's degree
- Minimum 7 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, supplier development, supply chain, or operations leadership
- Proven experience leading supplier recovery, turnaround, or performance-improvement initiatives
- Experience working directly with aerospace suppliers, OEMs, or Tier 1 manufacturers
- Strong knowledge of aerospace supplier performance and recovery practices
- Working knowledge of AS9100, NADCAP, PPAP, First Article Inspection, and applicable aerospace quality requirements
- Strong understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes, including machining, assembly, composites, and special processes
- Experience conducting root cause analyses and developing corrective action plans
- Ability to evaluate production capacity, scheduling, material flow, and operational constraints
- Experience developing and monitoring supplier KPIs and recovery milestones
- Strong project management, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with supplier leadership, internal management, and customer teams
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure supplier environments
- Ability to manage multiple recovery initiatives and competing program priorities
- Proficiency with reporting, data analysis, and standard business software
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently, including internationally as required

Desired Qualifications
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification
