Job Summary
Lead and develop a dedicated supplier quality team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Assess and qualify new suppliers, conduct regular audits, and monitor performance metrics to ensure compliance with specifications and regulatory standards. Develop and implement quality control processes for incoming parts, identify root causes of issues, and drive corrective and preventative actions. Collaborate with Procurement, Engineering, and Production teams to align on quality expectations and resolve issues effectively. Maintain accurate documentation of audits and assessments, preparing reports on supplier quality performance. Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies while ensuring compliance with customer and industry requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a business or engineering discipline
- 5 years related industry experience
- 5-10% travel
- Must be able to work between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday
- Must be able to work at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs
- Must be able to lead, mentor, and develop a team of quality professionals
- Must be able to assess and qualify new suppliers based on quality standards and company requirements
- Must be able to conduct regular supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with specifications and regulatory standards
- Must be able to develop and monitor supplier performance metrics and address non-conformances promptly
- Must be able to develop and implement quality control processes for incoming parts and materials
- Must be able to lead initiatives to identify root causes of quality issues and implement corrective and preventative action (SCAR)
- Must be able to work closely with Procurement, Engineering, and Production teams to ensure alignment on quality expectations
- Must be able to serve as the primary point of contact for supplier and internal stakeholders to resolve quality issues effectively
- Must be able to drive a culture of continuous improvement by implementing best practices in supplier quality management
- Must be able to facilitate workshops and training sessions for suppliers and internal teams on quality standards and methodologies
- Must be able to maintain accurate records of supplier quality audits, assessments, and corrective actions
- Must be able to prepare reports and presentations for management on supplier quality performance and improvement initiatives
- Must be able to identify quality risks in the supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate them
- Must be able to work collaboratively with suppliers to ensure compliance to customer requirements, regulatory requirements, industry standards, and Excellerate procedures
- Must be able to pass E-Verify
