Job Summary
Witness material transfers, weigh operations, and collect samples while verifying supplier compliance against Bechtel quality requirements. Act as the owner/client representative at supplier sites, performing duties under respiratory protection (PAPR) mandates. Requires AWS CWI or API certification, five to ten years of industrial sample monitoring experience, and access to proper PAPR equipment. Role involves following Bechtel standards in Oil & gas, power, utility, or manufacturing sectors. Contract is six months with extension possibility, paid at $45 to $50 per hour, Monday through Friday.
Required Qualifications
- At least one of the following: AWS CWI or API certification
- Five to ten (5 - 10) years industrial sample monitoring experience
- Industrial experience in Oil & gas / Power & Utility / Construction / Manufacturing, etc.
- The inspector must have access to and be properly equipped with a PAPR (Powered Air Purifying Respirator) to safely perform the required duties
- Inspector must either already be Bechtel pre-qualified or be capable of obtaining BSQE Mechanical Level II Qualification
- Witnessing transfer of material
- Witnessing weighing operations
- Collecting and documenting samples
- Verifying supplier compliance
- Following Bechtel quality requirements
- Working under respiratory protection requirements (PAPR)
- Acting as an owner/client representative at a supplier site
- 5 days / week
- Up to 10 hrs / day (Monday to Friday)
- Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations
