Job Summary
Conduct supplier assessment and process audits for Forgings, Gears, and machined parts suppliers in India. Support supplier management activities by ensuring fulfillment of ZF-specified deliverables across preventive and reactive phases. Apply APQP and PPAP methodologies to ensure compliance with ZF specifications in new sourcing projects. Lead cross-functional coordination between Indian suppliers and internal teams at global ZF plants. Manage supplier selection, technical feasibility, and development to meet quality and project milestones while establishing a reliable supply chain for development and serial production. Requires ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and VDA 6.3 knowledge; 8+ years in supplier quality or machining processes.
Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of key quality standards: ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and VDA 6.3 Process Audits
- Good understanding of AIAG/VDA APQP, PPAP, and project management methodologies
- Familiarity with AIAG/VDA FMEA, failure simulation, and problem-solving tools such as 8D, Ishikawa, etc.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical/Metallurgical Engineering
- Minimum 8 years of experience in the areas of Forgings, Forming, Heat Treatment, Hobbing, Shaping, grinding operations/ Product Development/ Supplier Quality/Customer Quality/Machining processes etc
Desired Qualifications
- Additional knowledge in CQI-9 Heat Treatment Special process audits, measurement skills will be an added advantage
