Supplier Quality Manager, MPG

Job Summary
Oversee and develop the MPG supplier quality program and lead a team of Supplier Quality Engineers across multiple sites. Develop and manage supplier evaluation and qualification programs, qualifying suppliers to AS9100/ISO9001 and related standards. Maintain supplier visit plans, create trip reports, and manage the Supplier Corrective Action System. Collaborate with supply chain, engineering, and QA to define clear supplier requirements, drive continuous improvement, and provide data-driven insights for supplier scorecards and quarterly business reviews. Ensure conformance of externally provided materials and oversee receiving inspection activities and staff. Maintain supplier audit records and communicate quality issues to suppliers; support risk assessment and mitigation within the MPG supply chain. Requires strong communication, documentation, and project-management skills, plus hands-on experience with quality systems, IPC standards (preferred), and lean/continuous improvement concepts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
- Five years’ technical experience with electronics or electro-mechanical
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident – Green Card Holder
- AS9100, ISO9001 knowledge or experience
- ASQ certification in supplier quality or quality engineering (highly desirable)
- Strong communication skills, ability to collaborate across multiple departments (supply chain, engineering, QA)
- Experience with supplier qualification, audits, corrective action, and receiving inspection
Desired Qualifications
- ASQ certification in supplier quality or quality engineering
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
- Five years’ technical experience with electronics or electro-mechanical
- Working knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality systems
- IPC-600 and IPC-620 knowledge a plus
- Strong communications skills (verbal and written)
- Experience with supplier audits, corrective action systems, and receiving inspection
- Experience collaborating with supply chain, engineering, and QA teams
- Damage control and risk assessment experience in a manufacturing environment
