Job Summary
Supplier Quality Engineer responsible for supplier audits/assessments, inspections, oversight, and verification at Westinghouse supplier facilities, with a focus on ASME B&PV Code materials and components for the AP1000 Nuclear Steam Supply System. Reports to the Sr. Manager, Supplier Quality NSSS. Hybrid role based in Cranberry Township, PA (3 days remote). Relocation is not provided. Develop and implement supplier surveillance and oversight plans to ensure compliance with quality and technical standards; resolve supplier quality issues; perform independent assessments to confirm QMS effectiveness for nuclear safety-related and ASME B&PV Code materials; monitor progress toward quality goals; create certification documents identifying procurement requirements; lead global supplier assessments; evaluate supplier quality plans; apply statistical methods to identify deficiencies; write QA plans per NRC, Westinghouse, and customer standards; implement QA documentation retention policies; travel 40-50%; base salary range $58,400-$73,000 per year.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
- 0-2+ years of experience as a Supplier Quality Professional or similar role
- Proficiency in using inspection tools like calipers, gauges, micrometers, and specialized testing equipment (IM&TE) is desirable
- Competency with generating, reviewing, approving, and archiving electronic quality documents and records
- 40-50% travel
