Supplier Quality Engineer - Technical Specialist

Supplier Quality Engineer - Technical Specialist focused on applying product-specific quality and technical skills to develop complex external suppliers and components that meet customer requirements. Build strong partnerships with external suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders (Purchasing, Manufacturing, Engineering); coach Cummins professionals to strengthen soft skills for effective relationships. Support cross-functional supplier base strategies and supplier selection processes for components; provide manufacturing consultation to enable Right First Time conformance to engineering prints and standards. Apply APQP, AIAG tools, and Cummins tools to develop zero-defect components within the external supply base; mentor teams on APQP execution. Lead continuous improvement initiatives in the external supply base using lean and six-sigma methodologies; conduct external supplier audits to mitigate risk and improve performance; drive root cause analysis and corrective actions to resolve complex supplier quality challenges.
