Supplier Quality Engineer

Job Summary
Lead and support daily supplier management activities at the Sensata make site, resolving supplier-related concerns and driving containment actions. Verify and assure suppliers' effective containment, root cause analysis, and corrective actions while communicating quality issues and performance metrics. Take the lead for New Product Development and change management across the site, ensuring support for critical projects and assisting with supplier selection processes and audits. Ensure best practices are adopted within the supply chain and maintain alignment across regions. Requires a bachelor's degree, 2 to 4 years in Supplier Quality or Manufacturing process Engineering with SMT experience, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Required Qualifications
- A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience
- Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
- Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
- Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
- Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
- Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
- 2 to 4 years in Supplier Quality or Manufacturing process Engineering with experience in Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and/or Electronic components
