Job Summary
The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) evaluates, monitors, and improves supplier performance, conducting on-site audits and creating supplier scorecards. Responsibilities include supporting sourcing initiatives, leading continuous improvement efforts, benchmarking manufacturing processes, executing supplier development plans, and coordinating sourcing strategies with New Product Development. The role requires a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant engineering field, and 7+ years of experience in quality engineering, including a supplier quality role.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science or equivalent education
- 7+ years' experience as a quality engineer engaged in new product development of electro-mechanical assemblies
- At least two years in a supplier quality role
- Working knowledge in multiple engineering disciplines
- Broad knowledge of production technologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
