Job Summary
Own supplier quality performance for assigned strategic suppliers and critical materials, leading qualification, onboarding, and capability assessments. Plan and execute comprehensive audits covering quality management systems, manufacturing processes, and product compliance to drive corrective actions. Lead supplier quality activities during new product introduction, reviewing APQP, PPAP, and control plans to ensure production readiness. Lead analysis and closure of complex quality issues using 8D, root cause analysis, and statistical tools like SPC and MSA. Evaluate supplier changes, including material, process, and equipment modifications, to validate quality risks before implementation. Master's degree in Engineering required with 5+ years in supplier quality engineering, high-volume manufacturing, and supplier development. Located in Columbus, Ohio, within a 1.1 million-square-foot solar panel manufacturing facility.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree or above in Engineering or related technical fields
- 5+ years of experience in Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) or related quality engineering roles
- Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments
- Proven experience in supplier development, supplier audits, and quality improvement activities
- Global supplier management and international manufacturing project experience
- Experience in photovoltaic manufacturing or semiconductor manufacturing
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred majors include: Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Semiconductor Engineering, Photovoltaic Technology or other related engineering disciplines
- Global supplier management and international manufacturing project experience preferred
- Experience in photovoltaic manufacturing or semiconductor manufacturing preferred
