Job Summary
Supplier Quality Engineer responsible for disposition of nonconforming material, MRB management, and driving supplier quality improvements. Includes leading 8D investigations, developing robust corrective action plans, maintaining supplier scorecards, coordinating with MRB and sourcing, and providing mechanical quality support on the production floor. Requires collaboration with electrical/mechanical teams, SPC data analysis from SAP/databases, and conducting periodic supplier audits to prevent recurrence. Travel ~10% expected. Requires BS in an engineering discipline and 2+ years in quality/manufacturing engineering, GD&T proficiency, experience with MRB/SCAR processes, and familiarity with SPC and SAP; ASQ CQE/CQA certifications are a plus.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or closely related technical field
- 2+ years of experience in a quality engineering or manufacturing engineering role in a high-mix production environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of engineering drawing interpretation and GD&T
- Demonstrated experience leading 8D root cause and corrective action investigations
- Proficiency with mechanical measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM interpretation)
