Job Summary
Develop and implement supplier quality improvement processes to enhance performance and product quality. Collaborate with supply chain leadership to establish annual objectives, maintain a Supplier Scorecard, and lead Quarterly Business Reviews. Conduct first article and batch audit inspections, perform root cause analyses, and drive continuous improvement initiatives with site quality teams. Train suppliers on quality control plans and assess their system capabilities. Prepare management reports on quality status and actively engage with industry quality trends. Operate with minimal supervision to support the Supplier Quality Management Strategy.
Required Qualifications
- 7 years of related experience
- Previous experience working in regulated environment
- FAA CFR 14 part 21
- FAA CFR 14 part 145
- Broad knowledge of the marketplace and manufacturing technologies
- In depth knowledge of supplier qualification processes and supplier performance metrics
- Knowledge of the latest quality science tools including, FMEA, GR&R, Control plans, Capability study and reduction of variations
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
- Exposure to lean concepts (Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen Leadership, 5S, etc)
- Knows and applies advanced concepts, practices and procedures of assigned product or program
- Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated analytical, problem solving/decision making skills
- ability to make timely, effective, fact based decisions
- Demonstrated ability to perform and produce results in multifunctional teams in a dynamic work environment
- Demonstrated ability to plan and accomplish goals based on experience and judgment
- Proven ability to develop collaborative relationships and influence up, down, and across organizational lines
- BA or BS degree in technical discipline
- US Person eligibility for Controlled Data or Information access
- Eligibility for government security investigation to verify eligibility for access to classified information
- Completion of a satisfactory background check
- Participation in a random drug test pool
- Travel up to 40% required
Desired Qualifications
- ASQC certifications
- knowledge of SPC
- Lean/Six Sigma certification (black belt or green belt)
