Supplier Quality Engineer II

Job Summary
Lead supplier performance improvement projects involving process analysis, value stream mapping, and Six Sigma initiatives to enhance supplier capabilities. Manage complex projects with minimal oversight while monitoring and improving key supply chain KPIs such as Supplier OTD, DPPM, and waste. Conduct supplier audits to drive standardization and travel to locations to resolve quality problems, escalating concerns to upper management with recommended actions. Champion root cause analysis with suppliers and customers to eliminate non-conformances and collaborate with Purchasing on new supplier evaluation and corrective action implementation. Maintain the critical supplier audit system and schedule. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or 4-6 years of manufacturing experience, plus a valid driver's license and ability to travel abroad.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Quality Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- 4-6 years related experience and/or training in manufacturing environment
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid drivers license in good standing
- the ability to travel abroad
Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of manufacturing systems, especially as they relate to machining and assembly
- Knowledge of various quality system methodologies Lean, 5 Whys, Pareto Analysis, Six Sigma, DFMEA, PFEMA, PPAP, etc
