Supplier Quality Engineer II

Job Summary
Quality Engineer II leads nonconformance resolution, RCCA and CAPA efforts, and drives continuous improvement across quality, manufacturing, and engineering teams. Responsibilities include managing Material Review Boards, root-cause analysis, disposition of non-conforming material, development of SOPs/WIs, preparation and execution of First Article Inspections (FAI), audits for AS9100/AS9110 compliance, data analysis to support corrective actions, mentoring other quality personnel, and collaboration with operations to ensure defect-free products. Requires strong problem-solving, Lean/Six Sigma knowledge, and proficiency with QA tools, GD&T, and data systems; travel up to 30% to customer or supplier sites. This role is hands-on and interfaces with assembly operators, quality inspectors, manufacturing, aviation, and engineering teams, and may involve leadership of quality teams and coordination with regulatory bodies.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a related field with 5+ years in Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Quality, or Quality Engineering in the aerospace or defense industry
- Bachelor's degree with six (6) years’ experience
- High school diploma with 12 years’ experience
- Ability to travel to customers or suppliers’ location
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Supplier Quality Professional (CSQP), preferred

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET Government Security Clearance
