Job Summary
Lead supplier quality initiatives by establishing acceptance criteria for materials, tracking supplier performance, and enforcing corrective actions for manufacturing yield issues and field failures. Collaborate with external suppliers and manufacturing engineers to investigate material defects, resolve production challenges, and implement changes to incoming inspection procedures. Generate test protocols, monitor testing, and approve components for use in products while supporting internal and external audits. Oversee project teams with moderate scope and drive corrective action plans for both internal and external issues.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (± 16 years) - Related field
- Minimum 2 years of related experience required
- 2-5 years of related work experience in technical or other QA related position
- 2-5 years preferred experience in medical device or similar regulated industry
- Working technical knowledge and application of concepts, practices and procedures
- General understanding of business unit/group function
- Will perform this job in a quality system environment
- Failure to adequately perform tasks can result in noncompliance with governmental regulations
- Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors
- Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
- Has a broad knowledge of technical alternatives and an understanding of their impact on the systems environment
