Supplier Quality Engineer

Support Purchasing to ensure supplier performance is regularly reported and that appropriate and timely corrective actions are implemented. Conduct supplier audits to drive process standardization, waste elimination, and continuous improvement while maintaining and updating the critical supplier audit system. Monitor supply chain metrics including Supplier OTD, quality, and communication to communicate short and long-term supplier quality goals. Promote problem solving and root cause analysis activities with suppliers to eliminate recurrence of non-conformances and resolve technical issues to ensure continuity of supply. Aide Engineering and Manufacturing in the evaluation and qualification of new supplier materials (PPAP) following a defined new product development process. Analyze and log MCN and MCN debits to drive a "Zero Defects" mentality within the supply base. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering and six years of related experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 8 D methodologies.
