Supplier Quality Engineer

Job Summary
Support Purchasing by ensuring supplier performance is regularly reported and that appropriate corrective actions are implemented. Maintain and update the critical supplier audit system while conducting audits to drive process standardization, waste elimination, and continuous improvement. Monitor supply chain metrics including Supplier OTD, quality, and communication to communicate short- and long-term goals. Promote problem-solving and root cause analysis activities with suppliers to eliminate recurrence of non-conformances and resolve technical issues to ensure supply continuity. Aide Engineering and Manufacturing in the evaluation and qualification of new supplier materials (PPAP). Drive a "Zero Defects" mentality within the supply base and analyze and log MCN and MCN debits. Bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering with six years of related experience required.

- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering
- 6 years related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Good computer skills
- Working knowledge of Excel
- Working knowledge of Word
- Working knowledge of Lotus
- Working knowledge of MAPICS
- Ability to define problems
- Ability to collect data
- Ability to establish facts
- Ability to draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form
