Job Summary
Drive quality support to production operations by ensuring purchased components meet engineering requirements and aggressively championing zero-defects performance. Process non-conformance reports, manage supplier corrective actions, and lead PPAP efforts across the full product lifecycle. Conduct ISO 9001 audits at suppliers, optimize process capability using statistical analysis, and train supplier teams to align with G&W and customer expectations. Collaborate with Procurement and Engineering to establish quality plans and minimize ongoing quality issues through root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives. Travel 10 to 25% of the year for on-site audits and project support.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial or Material Science Engineering
- Combination of at least 3-5 years manufacturing, quality or supply quality engineering experience
- Quality and Supply Quality most important
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with FMEA, Control Plan, statistical process control, inspection equipment and techniques, root cause and failure analysis, capability studies, statistical distributions, machine and assembly processes, problem solving, team facilitation, and geometric dimensioning and tolerance
- Experience with report writing in Microsoft Word, Power Point, and analysis using Minitab
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or IATF 16949
- Innovative problem solver, familiar with 7 or 8-step / 8D problem solving methodologies
- Must be able to work with Manufacturing at all levels of the organization
- Must be able to acquire a visa or passport as required
- Travel 10 to 25% of the year (Canada & International)

Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the electronics assembly, electrical equipment, semiconductor manufacturing industry, or allied industries
- Ability to speak Spanish and French
- ETQ, JD Edwards software quality experience
- Experience with any ERP
- ASQ Certification of Quality Engineer, Six Sigma Black Belt or Lean Certification
