Supplier Quality Engineer

Job Summary

Manage supplier programs for manufacturing and packaging processes by maintaining the Supplier Quality Manual and driving performance via scorecard metrics. Lead the Part Production Approval Process for new suppliers, conduct assessments, and manage corrective actions through the SCAR process to address nonconformances and customer feedback. Serve as the primary customer contact for supplier quality inquiries, audits, and specification updates while guiding deviation decisions for non-conforming materials. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to participate in Quality Planning, Process FMEA, and Control Plan activities, ensuring all changes are communicated timely. Work 7 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday with 10-25% travel.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of related industry experience
  • Ability to work well in fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Strong ability to identify and solve problems proactively using structured problem-solving tools (FMEA, DMAIC, 8D etc.)
  • Ability to apply knowledge, logic and reasoning using mathematics, statistics, science, and engineering applications
  • Ability to design a system or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, efficiency, repeatability, environmental, health and safety
  • Ability to become a Subject Matter Expert for an assigned system or process
  • Ability to coach and mentor site support functions within assigned areas of expertise
  • Ability to operate effectively in a cross-functional team environment
  • Ability to effectively lead projects involving cross-functional team members
  • Must have strong presentation skills and the ability to represent Excellerate in a professional manner
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of all customer and company information
  • Travel: 10-25% based on company need
  • Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday
  • Ability to learn and utilize a variety of computer programs such as Visio, Excel, PowerBI, and other applicable Excellerate software programs
  • Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively interact with others

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a business or engineering discipline
  • Five (5) years of related industry experience
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities
