Supplier Quality Engineer

Job Summary
Develop and strengthen Supplier Management Programs to ensure timely completion of APQP Quality deliverables and meeting of Quality Objective Targets. Lead Management Quality Review processes for problematic suppliers and manage incoming inspection, containment, and nonconforming material transactions. Document supplier issues in the company's system and verify supplier processes through site visits to assess adherence to YFAI requirements. Collaborate with production, engineering, and purchasing teams to drive continuous improvement using problem-solving techniques like 8D and statistical methods. Review and process supplier PPAP submissions for engineering and process changes while ensuring yearly validation requirements are met.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Level Degree in Manufacturing Quality or similar
- 3-5 Minimum Years of Experience in quality engineering, supplier quality or manufacturing engineering
- 1-3 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry
- Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces
Desired Qualifications
- Familiar with Engineering prints
- Experience with basic metrology tools, callipers, micrometres, etc
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- IATF 16949 knowledge
- Basic supervisor skills and experience
- Six Sigma Green Belt
