Supplier Quality Engineer

Job Summary
Qualify, evaluate, and approve suppliers while developing qualification processes and monitoring performance through KPIs and scorecards. Plan and conduct audits to verify compliance with contractual, technical, and regulatory requirements, then manage nonconformances by coordinating corrective actions with cross-functional teams and facilitating root cause analysis. Develop and maintain quality procedures, work instructions, and standard operating procedures to support ISO 9001 and other certification activities. Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Project Management to resolve quality issues, validate work order routings, and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain comprehensive records of audits, corrective actions, and quality metrics to drive supplier development and reduce quality risks.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field)
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in quality assurance, process improvement, or manufacturing
- Understanding of paint, galvanizing and welding processes
- Experience working in steel fabrication, manufacturing, or construction industries
- Experience with ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems
- Strong understanding of quality control processes, procedures, and documentation
- Experience using ERP systems for quality tracking and reporting
- Understanding of root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, able to collaborate across departments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint)
- Moderate physical activity
- Regularly seated at a computer desk with the option to stand
- Utilizing the telephone frequently
- Participating in meetings with colleagues, clients, third party vendors, etc.
- Stairs in the office
- Inspect and handle materials
- Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes, and odors
- Onsite position at the Dogwood Everett Factory at 3200 35th AVE NE, Everett, WA 98201
- Travel to Dogwood's Bothell Corporate office or Sedro-Woolley Factory office, as needed
- In-person attendance is required
- Full-time, in office position
- Complete work history with employer references for last three to five years
- Pre-employment background check

- THC testing will occur as part of all drug screens
- Work in excess of 40 hours per week may be required from time to time
