Supplier Quality Engineer

Job Summary
Develop and qualify suppliers for Low Voltage Switchgear and PDU product lines by defining risk profiles, managing the approved vendor list, and establishing Service Level Agreements. Oversee incoming inspection controls, conduct supplier audits, and maintain documented management processes while executing re-evaluations and analyzing monthly performance reports. Address non-conformances through the NCR system, lead resolution meetings, and define operational workflows for new production introductions by collaborating with Engineering and Sourcing teams. This role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering and 3–7 years of supplier quality experience, with a focus on electrical components, PPAP, FMEA, and root cause analysis tools.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related)
- 3–7 years of Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering experience
- Strong understanding of electrical components and assemblies used in power distribution or related hardware industries
- Experience with supplier audits, PPAP, FMEA, control plans, and statistical process control (SPC)
- Proficiency in root cause analysis tools (8D, Ishikawa, 5 Whys)
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and electrical schematics
- Excellent communication and supplier-facing negotiation skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in PDU, power electronics, electrical equipment, or electromechanical manufacturing
- Knowledge of UL/IEC safety standards for power distribution products
- Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent certification
- Familiarity with SAP and supplier quality software
