Job Summary
Supplier Quality Engineer leading supplier quality for aerospace/defense components. Own supplier quality performance from qualification through production and continuous improvement; drive defect prevention, process capability, and alignment with engineering, regulatory, and customer requirements. Lead supplier selection, qualification, capability assessments, risk evaluations, and on-site audits; ensure flow-down of requirements; drive readiness for production (FAI, process validation); assess supplier processes and quality systems per AS9100; monitor KPIs (PPM, OTD, COPQ) and lead performance reviews; coordinate with Supply Chain Management to align sourcing with supplier performance and risk; drive corrective actions using structured problem-solving (8D, FEMA, 5 Whys, Fishbone); perform supplier audits for compliance with AS9100, regulatory, and customer requirements; collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, and Program Management; on-site in Seminole, OK with 25-40% travel; benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401(k), PTO, life and disability insurance, professional development support.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
- 5+ years of experience in a supplier quality engineer role, preferably in the manufacturing aerospace or defense industry
- Experience supporting OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers in aerospace/defense (preferred)
- AS9100/ISO 9001/NADCAP/FAA knowledge or experience (preferred)
- Strong root cause analysis and CAPA experience
- Experience conducting supplier audits and driving supplier improvement
- Proficiency with APQP, FAI, FMEA, SPC, and control plans (a plus)
- Proficiency with MS Office and quality software tools
- Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications
- English proficiency
- Willingness to travel 25-40%
- On-site presence at Seminole, OK facility
