Supplier Quality Engineer

Job Summary
Conduct dimensional, visual, and functional analysis on purchased items for new product introductions to identify potential failure points and recurring manufacturing defects. Create inspection plans detailing frequency and sampling requirements, then monitor implementation through the ERP system. Facilitate dock-to-stock receipts and execute immediate actions for sourced part quality issues at inspection, assembly, or in the field. Lead supplier quality systems audits (on and off-site) to assess practices, recommend process changes, and monitor corrective and preventative actions for effectiveness. Collaborate with design engineering on first article reviews, fit/form/function testing, and measurement tool implementation. Identify cost savings opportunities through part and supplier qualification initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Demonstrates skills suitable for application and interpretation of basic supplier quality engineering principles, theories, and concepts
- Demonstrates good organizational skills and the ability to manage time and resources effectively
- Ability to work independently as well as on a team
- Ability to effectively communicate in oral, written and graphical form
- A background check and screen for the illegal use of drugs is required
- authorized to work in the United States for US-based positions
