Job Summary
Supplier Quality Dimensional Engineer for GM Defense responsible for ensuring component and system quality from design to production. Lead APQP activities, drive cross-functional teamwork with engineering, purchasing, and manufacturing to resolve quality concerns, and implement preventative measures. Utilize Dimensional Engineering, GD&T, and SPC methods; analyze dimensional data and use Polyworks for scanning to verify tooling and components against GD&T. Manage supplier corrective actions, perform root cause analysis, communicate quality performance and risks to stakeholders, and support launch quality efforts. Requires collaboration across supplier networks, periodic travel to supplier sites, and eligibility for a Secret U.S. Security Clearance; hybrid work arrangement and no immigration sponsorship for this role.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field
- 2+ years of engineering experience (quality or dimensional)
- Eligible to obtain Secret U.S. Security Clearance after hire (U.S. Citizenship or eligible)
- Experience in Polyworks software and operation of scanning equipment
- Understanding and application of statistical process control methodologies for dimensional evaluation to GD&T
- Background in Supplier Quality Engineering, Quality Engineering, or Dimensional Engineering
- Ability to travel to supplier sites as required
Additional Requirements
- This role requires eligibility to access classified information at the Secret level; U.S. Citizenship or eligible for Government access is required.

- Role is hybrid with in-office requirement at Warren, Michigan (at least 3 times per week) and travel up to 25-50%
