Supplier Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Summary
Manage and write Non-conformity reports while leading investigations into supplier quality issues. Coordinate corrective action plans with suppliers and provide technical coaching on quality tools like 8D and PDCA. Act as a mentor to define departmental strategic plans and ensure team efficiency. Verify dimensional properties of aerospace assemblies using CMM, calipers, and blueprints to ensure compliance with GD&T specifications. Requires 7 years of aerospace and quality experience, including proficiency in casting, forging, and metal sheet inspection. This 3 to 6-month variable role in Pau, France, involves 30 to 40 hours depending on needs.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years experience in aerospace
- Minimum of 7 years experience in Quality
- Experience with the manufacturing and inspection of complexe aerospace assemblies
- Experience with casting, forging and metal sheets inspection and manufacturing
- Extensive experience in problem solving and root cause analysis
- Experience using the problem solving methodologies and tools: 8D, PDCA, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, Poka Yoke, etc.
- General knowledge of Aerospace Quality Systems and International Standards
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Suite products
- A certain degree of creativity and flexibility is required
- The ability to read blue prints, check dimensional properties of parts or raw material to ensure compliance to manufacturing drawings/blueprints and specifications including knowledge of GD&T
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures with regards to inspection including proficiency in the use and interpretation of CMM, comparator, micrometers, thread gauges and calipers
- Expert (role model) that can work with no supervision
- Strong Communication skills
