Supplier Quality Assurance Manager

Job Summary
Define and own Humanoid's global Supplier Quality strategy, building the operating model, governance, and KPIs for incoming inspection, NCR management, and supplier audits across London, Boston, and Vancouver. Lead the SQA team to foster technical excellence while supporting Engineering, SCM, and Manufacturing with risk assessments and quality leadership. Establish OKRs and performance expectations for metrics like PPM, DPPM, and SCAR closure rates, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100, and export controls. Manage multi-tier suppliers for precision components, PCBA, and safety-critical subsystems, driving corrective actions and supplier development. Qualify, onboard, and assess suppliers using root-cause analysis and structured problem-solving methods. Report directly to the Global Head of Supply Chain and Logistics, with periodic international travel to sites and suppliers.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of direct SQA experience
- experience in high-reliability, regulated, or precision manufacturing (aerospace, automotive, robotics, electronics, medical devices)
- Proven experience establishing or scaling SQA depts
- Degree or Masters in International Supply Chain & Procurement Management, Quality, Engineering, or related field
- This role requires periodic international travel to suppliers and Humanoid sites (approx. 10–20%)
Desired Qualifications
- Certifications such as Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, ASQ CQE, Lead Auditor (ISO 9001), and experience working within IATF 16949 environments are highly desirable
