Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Summary
Conduct supplier audits, first article inspections, and source control visits to verify compliance with ISO/AS9100 standards and contractual requirements. Perform root cause analysis on defects, manage corrective action systems, and lead capability assessments for supplier qualifications. Maintain the supplier rating and approval systems, monitor performance data, and coordinate Manufacturing Readiness Reviews. Act as the primary interface for resolving technical problems, determine responsibility for discrepant hardware, and develop intervention plans to improve quality and on-time-delivery ratings. Requires 5+ years of experience, BS degree in engineering, and ability to travel 25% of the time.
Required Qualifications
- Broad knowledge of a general technical field such as electrical, mechanical, or industrial engineering
- BS degree in related engineering field
- 5+ years of related experience
- Thorough understanding of ISO 9000 regulations certification process
- Must be qualified for appropriate security clearance
- Must be consistent in accuracy, with strong attention to detail and personal sense of responsibility for the correctness of work
- Must understand the importance of confidentiality regarding proprietary business information
