Job Summary
Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer (SQE) at SEAKR Engineering focused on ensuring a high-quality, reliable aerospace supply chain. Responsibilities include auditing supplier quality management systems, performing source inspections, tracking supplier performance, maintaining supplier surveillance/records in ERP, approving purchase orders for flight hardware, identifying supplier-born risks, analyzing defect trends, leading continuous improvement projects, supporting Receiving Inspection with non-conformance evaluations and MRB dispositions, and collaborating with procurement to onboard new suppliers. Requires a technical bachelor’s degree, 5+ years in product assurance/quality systems with ISO9001/AS9100, travel up to 40%, experience with assemblies/PCBA and IPC/J-STD standards, strong communication, analytical, and documentation skills, and ability to work in a cross-functional team. Desirable qualifications include CQE, Lean/Six Sigma, GD&T, AS9102, NASA/IPC standards, and ERP proficiency. Salary range $90,000-$130,000 plus benefits and bonus; US citizenship required; located in Centennial, CO with hybrid work option.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field
- 5+ Years of experience in product assurance and quality systems, including exposure to ISO9001/AS9100
- Able to travel (15% typical, up to 40% of time per month) to perform supplier surveys, audits, assessments, and inspections
- Industry experience with assemblies, manufacturing and/or printed circuit boards assembly (PCBA (IPC-A-610,J-STD)
- Strong communication skills to interface effectively with internal customers and external suppliers on quality and quality control issues
- Technical aptitude with strong analytical problem solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret engineering documentation such as drawing dimensions and mechanical/electronic inspection methods/reports
- Ability to successfully operate as part of a multi-functional team, including engineering, program management, supply chain, and manufacturing
- Ability to accept direction from immediate manager as well as company officers
- Background in performing root cause analysis (5 Whys, 8D, Fishbone, Pareto, FMEA), and identifying solutions to complex problems
- Exhibits a professional demeanor at all times; grounded and professionally confident
- Knowledge of quality systems and supply chain quality functions and documentation
- Effective time management and skillfulness at task prioritization
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
