Supplier QA - Manager

Managing the materials vendor engineering team to lead supplier selection, process and material changes, and technical support across purchased commodities. Lead technical investigations for components and materials issues, drive material VIPs and StAR projects, and collaborate with procurement, planning, inbound/outbound, and supplier quality to deliver supplier performance, mitigate stockouts, and realize cost reductions. Develop and guide a best-in-class team proficient in lean, 6sigma and engineering-first principles; shape commodity strategies, negotiate for value, and steward department budgets. Interface with divisions, suppliers, and corporate sourcing to implement quality, cost, and service improvements, and identify insourcing/outsourcing opportunities while maintaining supplier/material management policies and tools.
