Job Summary
Plan, schedule, and conduct performance-based audits of suppliers to support station safety procurement activities. Lead audit teams, perform source activities, and generate reports in accordance with applicable procedures. Ensure quality and accuracy of QA documentation while rolling up issues to identify adverse trends in supplier quality. Maintain the Quality Suppliers List and review supplier performance to select areas for surveillance. Exercise stop work authority over non-conforming production and engineering activities presenting significant risk. Communicate effectively with station and supplier personnel while adhering to nuclear QA practices and regulations. Requires a Bachelor's degree, four years of nuclear plant experience, and Lead Auditor certification.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a technical field or equivalent work experience
- Four years of nuclear power plant experience in the field of quality assurance or supervisory experience in plant operations
- Minimum one year of experience in the overall implementation of the Quality Assurance Program and ANSI/ANS N45.2.23-1978 certification
- Knowledge of Nuclear and other regulatory quality / QAPM requirements
- Knowledge of nuclear industry regulations and experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft desktop applications
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple assignments
- General understanding of nuclear power operations
- Strong leadership skills
- Lead Auditor Certification
Desired Qualifications
- Previous NUPIC auditor training a plus
- ANSI/ASME N45.2.23-1978 certification
