Job Summary
Manage supplier performance and oversight for the Natrium Project by applying project management tools to control cost, schedule, submittals, and resources. Develop statements of work and project plans to execute supplier initiatives while facilitating selection activities for requests for proposals. Collaborate with internal technical and commercial teams to ensure fidelity to contract direction and manage technical interfaces between suppliers and TerraPower's engineering groups. Oversee the submittal process, coordinate review dispositions, and conduct on-site visits to monitor supplier capabilities and relationships. Provide direction to Contract Administrators to ensure delivery of contract deliverables and support commercial activities. Travel 25% to 50% to supplier locations as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Technical degree preferably in mechanical, electrical, chemical, nuclear, systems, or civil engineering
- 10 or more years of experience in supplier oversight
- PMP certification preferred or equivalent training
- Prefer 3-5 years of manufacturing oversight
- Understanding of manufacturing travelers, welding, and similar manufacturing processes
- Experience defining supplier work scope to include development of SOWs, RFPs and providing direction and oversight of supplier projects
- Demonstrated skills in management of suppliers in design and manufacturing environments
- Demonstrated skills in supporting contractual/commercial aspects of customer/supplier relationships
- Previous experience in technical interface with engineering groups for review and input to supplier activities
- Required experience with project controls and organization along with tools and processes to support the same
- A broad understanding of the mechanical, electrical, and nuclear engineering disciplines and how they interrelate
- Must be able to safely lift up to 25 pounds
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or national, asylee, refugee, or lawful permanent resident of the United States
Desired Qualifications
- PMP certification preferred or equivalent training
- Prefer 3-5 years of manufacturing oversight
- Strong communication skills
- The SPE will possess a high degree of trust and integrity, communicate openly, be respectful of others, demonstrate a desire to foster teamwork, and deliver on the mission
