Supplier Performance & Quality Manager - On-board power (Phoenix or Newport Beach CA)

Job Summary

Manage a Tier 1 supplier to ensure on-time delivery and equipment quality for Airbus Aircraft by deploying Zero-M routines, managing Supplier Business Reviews, and executing Business Improvement Plans. Utilize industrial methods to continuously improve supply chain performance, assess supplier capacity for ramp-up periods, and monitor Key Performance Indicators through audits and risk management. Initiate recovery plans for delivery degradations and prepare management reviews to track preventive and corrective actions. Act as a point of contact for major industrial risks and design changes while managing relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers. Work remotely four days per week with occasional travel, reporting to the Airbus Americas Procurement team.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Industrial Engineering or similar field
  • Minimum of 5 years professional experience in a procurement operations environment (monitoring, auditing, developing suppliers/operations) or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain and Quality Processes
  • English (Reading – Speaking – Writing: Fluent/Negotiation)
  • Ability to summarize complex industrial situations in a clear manner
  • Team Player with excellent communication skills, customer-oriented, problem solving and flexible way of working
  • 50% Domestic and International travel
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or similar field
  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Aerospace industry and/or manufacturing experience
  • Green Belt/Black Belt certification
  • CPIM certification (Certified in Production & Inventory Management)
  • Knowledge of Quality Regulations, Quality Core Tools Knowledge (APQP)
  • Practical Problem Solving
  • Industrial planning (MRP/ERP)
  • International Mgmt. system standards, Authorities / Regulations / Standards
  • Knowledge of QMS, Auditing/Assessing, IPCA+ and CMA tools (Industrial Capability and Capacity assessment tools)
  • Ability to communicate at all levels within the supplier's organization and Airbus to influence the decision making
  • Proficiency in Other Languages
