Job Summary
Manage purchasing, order management, and logistics to mitigate risk and enable profitability. Execute purchase and order fulfillment activities to impact inventory turns and ensure predictable supplier on-time delivery. Oversee order status processes, including accurate shipping information, PO backlog tracking, and communication with suppliers to meet delivery commitments. Negotiate pricing, provide sales quotes, and collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to drive process improvements. Handle non-conforming inventory, manage aging stock, and communicate order status and problem resolutions to planners and customers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years experience
- Thorough knowledge of principles, theories and concepts in area of discipline
- Competent in all job functions
- General understanding of industry practices, techniques and standards
- Ability to develop solutions for a variety of situations
- Ability to work on projects requiring evaluation and analysis
- Ability to refer to policies, practices and precedents for guidance
- Ability to determine best course of action to achieve results
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to exercise judgment and discretion
- Ability to collaborate with management and team members
- Ability to represent department internally or externally
