Job Summary
Conduct supplier engagement and onboarding by participating in selection processes to develop a competitive supply base. Perform quality problem resolution and incident management through root cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing and field service teams. Collaborate with New Product Development to ensure engineering drawing accuracy and support design for manufacturability. Establish and monitor supplier key performance indicators, including quality, delivery, and defect rates, while driving performance reviews. Lead corrective action requests to verify root cause effectiveness and ensure containment plans are implemented. Identify supplier capability gaps and develop improvement plans to mitigate risks related to quality, delivery, and business continuity.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline
- Minimum 3 years of experience in supplier quality engineering, manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, process engineering, or related technical supplier management roles
- Strong understanding of quality systems and standards, such as ISO 9001, supplier audit practices, nonconformance management, corrective action systems, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Proficiency in quality tools, including 8D, 5 Why, fishbone analysis, FMEA, SPC, MSA, process capability analysis, control plans, and PDCA
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, technical standards, inspection reports, and manufacturing process documentation
- Strong data analysis skills with the ability to use supplier performance metrics, defect trends, and process data to identify risks and drive improvement actions
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, drive closure of corrective actions, and work effectively under schedule pressure
