Job Summary
Supplier Engineer will lead the supplier technical audit process, evaluate supplier performance and capabilities, and drive continuous improvement opportunities at supplier sites. The role involves leading quality problem resolutions and incident management, driving root cause and corrective action, reconciling supplier issues at the process level, and using enterprise software to document containment, root cause, corrective action, and verification. The candidate will interface with suppliers, internal AMAT stakeholders, and end users to remediate product or process failures affecting manufacturing locations or end users, with strong knowledge of gas/liquid delivery systems and OEM components (e.g., MFCs, valves, regulators). The position requires experience with gas line/weldment manufacturing, sealing components (O-rings, C-seals), and exposure to QA tools (FMEA, audits, and statistical methods). The role reports to the Chemical Delivery Supplier Quality Manager and requires up to 30% travel. The ideal candidate will possess solid understanding of GMP and lean principles, cleanroom manufacturing protocol, and effective communication within cross-functional teams. Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Travel: Up to 30%.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- 5+ years experience in supporting manufacturing of semiconductor capital equipment
- Knowledge of gas/liquid delivery systems and OEM components (MFCs, valves, regulators)
- Experience with Quality Management Systems, auditing (internal and/or external), FMEA, and basic statistical methods
- Lean principles and GMP
- Cleanroom manufacturing experience
- Strong interpersonal and team-oriented skills
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Travel up to 30%
