Job Summary
Supplier Development Engineer (Starlink) enhances quality, cost, delivery, and capacity metrics for mechanical hardware in Starlink user terminals; collaborates with design, materials, and manufacturing engineers to understand part/assembly design intent; supports procurement to source parts aligned with supplier capabilities; defines supplier technical and quality requirements for NPI and production; leads resolution of supplier quality issues via root-cause analysis; defines product technical requirements and ensures supplier compliance; implements PPAP with selected suppliers to enable rate production; analyzes supplier quality and delivery metrics to identify trends and root causes; conducts independent supplier scouting; identifies opportunities to lower part costs, reduce supply risk, and improve cycle time; maintains strong supplier relationships and drives continuous improvement; must be willing to extended hours and up to 50% travel. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- 1+ years of experience in one of: supply chain engineering, supplier development/quality, manufacturing, design engineering
