Job Summary
Supplier Development Engineer, Power Electronics (Starlink) drives end-to-end supplier development for power electronics modules and components, leading supplier selection, NPI, PPAP/FAI processes, qualification plans, and high-volume production ramp. Responsibilities include engaging suppliers early, assessing manufacturing capabilities for Si, SiC, GaN designs, leading reliability campaigns, establishing qualification protocols (HALT/HASS, EMI/EMC, FAT/SAT), Lean-based supplier performance improvements, root-cause analysis of failures (MOSFETs, GaN devices, capacitors, solder fatigue), and ensuring on-time delivery while collaborating with design, test, and production teams. Travel up to 25% required; position based onsite in Bastrop, TX, with ITAR compliance and SpaceX Equal Opportunity employment terms.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, power electronics, or other engineering discipline
- 1+ years of experience in power electronics, quality engineering, reliability engineering, or supplier development

- ITAR REQUIREMENTS: U.S. citizen/national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee or eligible to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
