Supplier Development Engineer

Job Summary
Perform structured risk assessments to support sourcing of best-in-class semiconductor components for new product developments. Conduct regular APQPs to minimize quality and reliability risks, utilizing company qualification standards to devise safe launch plans. Drive structured problem solving to identify root causes of quality concerns and ensure corrective actions are utilized at supplier manufacturing processes. Conduct on-site audits, technical assessments, and process reviews at semiconductor and sub-con locations. Develop and maintain company standards for supplier manufacturing, testing, and design processes based on lessons learned. Deploy read-across of established standards throughout the supply chain and drive continuous improvement projects with key suppliers to improve quality performance. Support internal Knowledge Management by developing and teaching courses in process or technology expertise. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure challenges for future component technologies are met in Supplier Development programs. Position requires approximately 50% regional/international travel.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelors Degree in Sciences or Engineering
- Minimum 7 years of Direct work Experience in semiconductor manufacturing/testing/Quality
- High proficiency in use of Quality tools/methods (Six Sigma DMAIC/DFSS)
- Excellent communication skills both in verbal/written with high proficiency in English
- Excellent Analytical skills
- Excellent leadership skills in leading Globally distributed team of internal and external partners
- Position requires approximately 50% Regional/international travel to companys and Supplier locations
