Supplier Development Engineer

Job Summary
Manage supplier development by leading category management, conducting on-site audits for risk assessments, and implementing "get-well" plans for underperforming suppliers. Drive material qualification by leading technical review meetings, establishing robust PPAP processes, and ensuring all new materials and second sources are properly qualified before mass production. Support procurement in developing second sources to drive cost savings while maintaining quality performance aligned with operations. Collaborate with plant SQE on legacy quality issues and monitor supplier scorecards to address design problems. Lead cross-region technical reviews to accelerate new project ramp-ups and prevent supplier incidents.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in science and Technology
- 6+ years' experience at least in manufacturing industry
- Good knowledge of Production Techniques and Processes
- Good knowledge of Automotive-5-methods (APQP, FMEA, MSA, PPAP, SPC etc.)
- IATF16949
- VDA certificate
- Strong analytical skills, fact-based and data-driven for supplier direction and performance
- Attentive to details
- Good Command of office software applications
- Flexibility on working time for cross-region communication meeting
- Proficient English - 75% minimum
- Oral & written communication skills and ability to work with cross region people at all levels
- Work patiently and stably to face various internal and external challenges
