Job Summary

Technical liaison between Purchasing, Engineering, Manufacturing and Suppliers to resolve quality issues, implement and monitor advanced quality planning, and provide technical support. Responsibilities include reviewing supplier manufacturing processes and quality systems, monitoring APQP milestones for new programs, reviewing PFMEA and Control Plans, participating in Contract and Design Reviews (GD&T, Qualification Requirements, Capability), improving supplier quality, price and delivery through workshops and technical support, reviewing tooling and part designs for conformance, resolving supplier issues in manufacturing, ensuring PPAP submissions, retaining supplier compliance records, monitoring supplier performance metrics, and applying problem-solving tools to drive continuous improvement. Requires strong communication, ability to work across cross-functional teams, and experience with APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, and GD&T. Certifications or advanced training in GD&T or APQP are a plus. The role is an 8am–5pm, Monday–Friday position at the Pontiac, MI plant, with occasional extended hours or weekend work to meet customer needs.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree from a 2- or 4-year college
  • Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year college or university
  • 5 Years in related experience and/or training
  • 10 to 15 years related experience and/or training
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
