Job Summary
Supplier Development Engineer for Starlink Automation & Controls responsible for end-to-end development, bring-up, and optimization of automated manufacturing equipment and control systems at contract manufacturers. Own equipment selection, fixturing, controls architecture, and high-volume production readiness; design/qualify fixtures and conveyors, program PLC/HMI/SCADA, and lead line optimization efforts (takt time, OEE, cycle time balancing). Integrate robotic systems and ensure robust communication protocols; conduct DOE and corner-case studies, lead IQ/OQ/PQ, PPAP, GR&R, and field containment with eight disciplines/5-Why for root-cause resolution; travel up to 30% and onsite in Bastrop, TX. Strong articulation skills, cross-functional influence, and adherence to safety standards (ANSI/RIA, ISO 13849) required; ITAR considerations and US work authorization specified.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, controls engineering, or other engineering discipline
- 1+ years of experience in automation equipment development, controls engineering, or manufacturing line deployment
