Job Summary
Support the inpatient needs of the Legacy Medical Group Maternal Fetal Medicine service by working closely with MFM providers on a daily basis. Provide backup to the LMG Midwifery Practice, cover unassigned labor and triage patients, and assist private practice OB colleagues with procedures such as C-sections. Manage the full OB scope of low and high-risk pregnancies, including NSVD, operative vaginal delivery, cesarean section, hemorrhage management, VBAC, and post-partum D&C. Perform level 1 ultrasounds and repair episiotomy and lacerations. Serve 24-hour in-house shifts at Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center in Vancouver, WA, with no clinic responsibilities. This role supports Level IV NICUs and high-risk pregnancies within the surrounding community.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of four-year U.S. Medical School or equivalent with residency completed in OB/GYN
- Full OB scope of both low and high-risk pregnancies including NSVD, operative vaginal delivery, cesarean section, management of third stage labor, hemorrhage, level 1 ultrasound, repair of episiotomy and lacerations, VBAC, post-partum D&C etc.
- In-house 24-hour shifts (designated, well-appointed call room)
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB-GYN
- Unrestricted license to practice medicine in Oregon and Washington
- Current BLS from the American Heart Association
