Job Summary
Supplemental Instructor for K-8 School ( Cheney Public Schools ) per semester; responsibilities include developing and implementing engaging learning experiences for K-8 students, collaborating with teachers and parents to create meaningful opportunities, facilitating hands-on activities connecting classroom learning to real-world applications, providing instructional support across subjects including STEM, humanities, art, movement, environmental studies, and social-emotional learning, maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment, assessing student progress and adapting instruction, and communicating regularly with staff and families. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, related work experience, access to reliable transportation, and WSP/FBI background clearance. The role is non-benefits-eligible, temporary, approximately 4 hours of classroom work per week, with additional setup, meetings, and events; located at Home Works! Cheney, WA; schedule aligns with school events and per-semester basis.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and related work experience
- Background in teaching, community engagement, cultural education, or experiential learning
- Experience working with K-8 students in a formal or informal educational setting
- Must have access to reliable transportation
- WSP/FBI criminal history background clearance
